Ask the Stoned Guy Thread - 2010 Edition.

In the tradition of that time of year when I let me dermatologist carve out bits of my skin which have a risk of becoming skin cancer - I bring you the 2010 edition of the Ask the Stoned Guy thread.

This afternoon was the first of what will be a marathon run of excisions this month. Which will mean many things, one being that I'll be off the bike for probably the next 3 week, the other being that me and my bottle of hydrocodone will be good friends for the next 5-8 days.

Bring on the questions, I can't promise to be as funny, but I can promise that I probably won't remember the questions let alone the answers in a week.

Edit: Today (1/11/2010), I had the last of the 5 excisions, located on the middle of the inside of my calf. Being a cyclist, there isn't too much spare skin around there to bring together when cutting out a spot the size of a pencil eraser. Thus, I am rather drugged up attempting to forget the fact that my leg feels like it would like to rip each of the 8 or so stitches out. As stated in my bump post - I shall not be held accountable for anything I say (or type) for the next 24 to 48 hrs or how ever long it takes before I'm off the pain killers. I can however answer questions, so please, ask me. I promise to answer in the best possible way I can in the state that I'm in.

OH - sorry! hope nothing bad comes of it!!!

I'm sitting here with stitches in my hand that run across knuckle and so I'm off bike a bit.

However, in trying to stay within the confines of asking Stoned Guys questions, is there a one booze, er, or something, that helps when you BANG your BOO BOO's so they feel like they're on FIRE? (So far I have not found the ultimate booze) --- I rely on you guys ... The Stoned Guys, to help me out

I found Southern Comfort to be a good remedy for bangin' the boo-boo's. Jack Daniels isn't too bad, either. A shot of either of these will give your boo-boo a whole new perspective on hollering at you.

So, is this gonna be a more entertaining version of 'ask pcad anything'? If so, let me get it started.

I'm thinking of installing skylights in my place... do you think my upstairs neighbors will care?

while i am still aware enough to say so, all of these should be preventative. skkin cancer once is plenty for me to stay on top of things.

as far as the question-- tito's vodka would be my choice, but for those in less fortunate states w/o titos - single malt scotch would do, if yoyr suffering pain, why add to it with crap booze.

Is the better pain remedy a Russian Gray Goose Vodka, or an old gray Russian giving you a goose?

Drambuie

2RSG.Inc is still made to the original recipe (a closely guarded secret) that was started many years ago by a couple of guys who were reallyjacked up on painkillers... for security we only have half of the recipe each and can only remember the special blend of narcotics and other drugs when we are both sober, on a Monday, and when the sun is shining in Antarctica.

There have been imitators but there is still only one... er... 2RSG.Inc

I'm on hydrocodone tonight (probably just for tonight) post-tooth extraction/bone graft. Accordingly, can't think of anything to ask you.

Heard you were hopped up on the H.codone as well. Hope you heal up soon, I've had more than my fair share of jaw / dental work as well and would take these excisions over more of that any day. Though I could use to drop some weight like I did when I had my jaw surgery in '99. Not enough riding and too much of my wife's good cookin.

... feels that the previous statements were entirely too well put together. I have fixed this by reupping on the good stuff. cuda the stoned will return shortly... bring on the questions!

Anythingcodone makes me kind of queasy. I don't like it. This mouth pain was bad this time. Hell, they can drive a rusty railroad spike through your head when you're on novocaine, but then the local wears out and you start feeling the bone graft and the stiches. Ouch. I'm sure it will simmer down by tomorrow.

I'm lucky that I can keep the queasy at bay as long as I have something in my stomach when I dose up.

Note - it takes way more coordination than I have atm to balance an icepack on my arm while typin. Oh and TCU best get their rear in gear if they want any chacne at this game.

Pcad -

Take an ice cube and hold it between the index finger and thumb of the hand on the same side where they did the work.

Hold it until it is melted... you will need a towel for the runoff.

It will hamper your ability to post but can do wonders for this kind of pain for a lot of people.

Would like to thank the j/a across the street this morning for honking long enough to wake me up long enough for me to realize how much of a dull ache was radiating through my arm. I'm now awake, and yes, ready to take questions, but not operate heavy machinery.

If your drunk friend calls a cop a p*ssy to see if he will tazer him, is it OK to step in and get the tazer instead just so you won't have to clean up the puke?

no, but it is perfectly ok to shove jsharr in the way instead. it is way cooler to watch someone else flounder on the floor (sans puke) than yourself. especially if you have a video camera handy.
