Love knows no dollar sign

What's the most you have spent on your pet's veterinarian bill?

yes you can....just don't spend all of it, cause you'll probably need an antibiotic afterwards.

Luckily we haven't had too many issues with Shardul. I think we've spent about $2000 with immunizations and flying to Costa Rica and back.

Stupid beagle tore his ACL, drivers side. He was 10 pounds overweight. Surgery was $2,300. Pre-op stuff was @$340.

I even spent $130 to get an hamster xrayed. What's a dad to do when your 8 year old is crying. I can't believe I'm such a soft touch.

You gotta admit, Buddrow looks like Elvis.

As my old military buddies would say, "Luv" that you pay for is cheaper in the long run.

The most was about $450.00. That was cheap I think. Daisy had come down with a case of distemper. I vaccinate my dogs but the vet said a stray could still get a dog sick through a fence. I got her to the vet early so she was lucky.

Just paid 1800 for stones to be removed.

They gave him a scuba suit instead of a cone..

Over $2500 in one sitting to fix a torn ACL on the back right leg of our first mastiff.

One of my daughters spent over four grand on a stupid dog that got loose and got hit by a car. I didn't know what to say, I was flabbergasted. I spent about five hundred on a dog once, but he was my buddy!

We spent over $300 to have tumors removed from a pair of rats we had once. $100 on one and $200 on the other (tumors returned on that one). This didn't include the medicines that went along with the recovery process. Just the surgeries.

Exactly. My miniature pinscher just cost me a cyclocross bike. This past December my wife and I spent $1,900 for the femoral head ostectomy surgery and $420 for the pre-surgery bloodwork and x-rays. The vet technicians removed the staples for "free" though! Gee, thanks......

I spent $600 on an ER visit for my kitten less than 24 hours after we brought him home from the shelter. The next day they told us we were going to have to spend about $3000 to have a "foreign object" removed from his intestines - but there was no foreign object, so the humane society covered the cost of the unnecessary surgery.

I spent a lot (trips to U Penn because the vet said that was the best place). But it was worth it all to know I did everything I could and he lived a longer and painfree life.

Single visit ?? About $5500.

TAken all together over a pet's life? Too much to even think about.

Some may think it's crazy but I'm really glad to hear all about what you have done for your extended family. It's all about the love we have for them, isn't it? You all are awesome.
