One of my friends describes me as "florescent white". I prefer to say that I'm two shades lighter than chalk.

Not now. I tanned for about 6 weeks before we went to Mexico in the fall, and I'm planning on tanning a little before my May wedding.

It IS nice though. So warm & relaxing....

I tan in the dark. I *still* have some color from my November trip to Mexico.

I got off the plane to Des Moines in December and my bud that picked me up said "Man, you're *tan*!"

I'm sure that the fine folks of this forum who are busy digging out from the recent snow storm in the northeast United States would want to say something along the lines of "We hate you" but being the fine folks that they are would not do so.

I miss smoking. No I don't tan. Summer hits down here and you tan in twenty minutes. That and the whole maybe causes skin cancer thing. That would suck.

I used to go tanning before I started riding. It was a good way for me to get some UV with my schedule. Screw skin cancer, I have eczema. My eczema is soothed by UV.

I can still see the tan lines on my legs from the summer. I'll wait until shorts season to get my tan back.

Of course I am tanning, if takes effort to look this good :-P

Actually. It is usually late in the season when I develop a cycling tan.
but I have lines on my arms and legs from last year.

My masculinity prevents me from doing so. I charge into the tropical blasts of sunlight in pasty-white glory. Like a man.

With a family heritage of Irish, Scottish, Welsh, and German, tanning is simply not an option. Last summer when I was leaving a supermarket late at night, I heard a woman behind me say to her friend, "Look at those pasty legs!" We were the only three people in the immediate vicinity. So what if I inspired this song? One of my great grandfathers was actually maned Casper.

Also, in the interest of public safety, Stupidly Brave and I no longer ride next to each other at the Lancaster Covered Bridges metric century. The combined glare off our legs could blind the entire ride (all 3,000+).

I wore shorts for a couple of sunny days we had recently. I still had long sleeves and gloves on so just the tops of my knees got a little color.

I still have my summer cycling tan lines. I'll just add to that outside, while riding my bike.

I spend 5 days a month in Barbados so have a perma tan. No need to stand or lay in a booth at home.

What part? I found Bathsheba to be particularly appealing.....and the man with the monkey there selling necklaces was a pretty cool fellow.

My right shoulder has a scar from body surfing in front of the hotel (Bougainvillea Resort in Ostins) when the wave crashed me into the rocks at the bottom....was a lot of fun up till that point.

I find tanning on purpose is a waste of time. If I get darker by being outside, sweet.

Friend owns a tanning business so yea. Im secure in my manhood that tanning will not make people think different.
Also, I find that after tanning (I usually start at the beginning of February) I tan much better and more even.
