Questionable content on a 3yo girl web page - What to do?

My children have facebook pages so they could play the farm game thing. I'm OK with that as long as no personal info in there (address, phones, etc). The pages were created by my ex and are linked to her own page. Now that she is enjoining being single she posted on her page a sexually charged interview called "How are you in bed?". The interview is in spanish and have several questionable questions that IMHO should not be part of a 3yo girl's web page.

I question if my girl should have a web page at all.. but having that content in it .... I'm very against. I've asked my ex to remove that material from the girl's page but she refused saying "that's nothing".

So, here's a screenshot of the oage in question. I'm not gonna keep it for long... so please write your suggestions about what should I do about this.

Geez, louise. I don't speak Spanish, but the picture alone of the bottom bikini shot is enough to make me not want to have those sort of posts on my kid's page. I think it is very inappropriate to have sexual material on a child's web page.

I think it's his daughter's "Wall."

The mom (ex) is doing these application things and then "share/tell your friends" and since the daughter is a "Friend" they are showing up on her wall.

Ruben, I agree with you and feel this is very disgusting that your daughter has a Facebook page, especially with a photo, etc. You don't need ANY info to play FarmVille. Heck, you can play on the Farmville.com website!

Having Facebook to play FarmVille, ok. Having info and a photo. Nope. And Your ex is letting these things show up on your daughter's wall. Holy Crap!

Do whatever you can to have it removed immediately.

(And remove or at least edit the photo in your post--it contains full names, etc, which aren't exactly as common as "Jenny Anderson" or something.)

You can disable the display of news feed updates (or whatever they call it now), as well as disable the entire wall.

UA is right... contact FB.

I am not a fan of social networking. People just don't get it. Right now I am fighting with my sister as on her page she has posted photos of her young adult kids - drunk and partying. Perhaps I overreact to these things but somehow FB and other networks have given people the right and freedom to be fools.

Ruben protect your child any way you can. You as a man know how some other men would view this content. It's wrong, you know it, act on it.

Yes, you need to get into the account settings and change the types of things that get displayed on the wall.

I agree with everyone else - it needs to be taken down. Putting children's photos and adult sexual content on the same page is not a good thing.

If your ex refuses to do it you should contact the lawyer who handled your custody issues.

this. Take down the page, or at absolute minimum: change the name, remove all pictures, remove all friends, set to private, and anything else you can think of to lock it down. (I don't use FB so I'm not sure what else can be done)

First of all... I always thought those games were imature... now that I KNOW a 3yr is playing them... sheesh.

There are a ton of security settings.... check them out. I've mainly looked into limited what I send out to others, not what others post to my stuff (e.g., I blocked my boss from seeing my wall or getting updates from me.)
I THINK you can set it to not get updates from certain people... then the ex would have to specifically post it to your daughters page.

Oh... and I THINK you can click an "X" off to the right to delete that post from the wall. It won't stop things from the future, but it would allow you to screen your daughter's facebook before you let her loose to farmville away.

As for a certain age to have a facebook... I dunno.... but if a dog or cat can have a facebook, a little girl can.

I also agree, have it taken down. This places your daughther at high risk. FB has been penetrated many times and IP address lists associated with members names have been compromised on a number of occasions, and frankly, for example, if I copped your IP address, it wouldn't be much longer I'd have your street address, name and other information, depending on how paranoid you are about personal data on the web.

From the facebook help page.

"What is the minimum age required to sign up for Facebook?
In order to be eligible to sign up for Facebook, users must be thirteen (13) years of age or older."

...

When a person signs up for an account they enter a birthdate. Since whoever creates the account enters this date, they are committing fraud by knowingly adding an account for anyone under 13. The account should be removed.

Change the password and then delete it. So that way nobody else can get into it.

I think that Ruben's ex set up the account and thus Ruben doesn't have the password, thus why he can't just change things or get rid of it himself...

Thanks for the replies Foo. I was afraid of being an over-reacting Dad. I talk to the ex again today and she still refuses. I'm not sure how will I proceed (what agency) but I WILL take that page down.

I'm also removing the temporary screenshoot I took for this post... it is disgusting.

again, thx

As mentioned take the screen shot to a lawyer and if needed the judge can deal with the situation.

If all you say about your now ex is true I wouldn't be wasting my time posting here on the forums, I'd be reporting the ex to DHS everytime some **** like this happens (which according to you is often) so I could get custody of them.
