OK, here it comes everbody go home now

looks like it's not a joke and the snow is going to get serious the next couple of hours. so if you don't want to be stuck on the roads in traffic jams, etc - get going now.

Yeah, it's coming down hard now even in NYC, wet and sticky. I'm looking forward to my ride home! My third opportunity this winter to ride my studded tires

I am in Vancouver B.C., did not get to use my studded tires once. That is disappointing.

A tropical storm blew in here this afternoon. Unusual this far south, but it's the second one we've had this year so far.

So when is your snow going to reach us?

We have a different kind of snow over here- It comes from the East and we don't get much. Still cripples the traffic though.

I have enough snow - haven't worked all week because of it, because if it's not snowing where I live, it's snowing where I'm supposed to work & they close the schools. So far I've read 8 books this week (Shutter Island was very creepy), and the National Guard has pulled my oldest out of college to go remove snow from the Eastern panhandle. (WV). He called last night to report that they thought it had stopped snowing, but the 50 mph winds made the assessment unsure.......... So, in the interests of the Olympics, might I suggest that at 11 pm everyone on the eastern seaboard take a deep breathe, face west, and blow?

A frosty fire hydrant, one tough ass pelican and the fire I'm going to stick around while sipping hot chocolate and scarving down some gingerbread.
