Pandora One

Anyone here use it? I'm approaching my 40 hour limit this month listening to Pandora (studying for math classes works better with tunes) and am considering upgrading to Pandora One. Supposedly the audio quality improves a bit. What about the standalone application? Any good?

It works out to $3 a month to have access to this service.

I started a thread about Pandora alternatives (seeking them), when I got stuck with the 40 hr limit for the very first time a few weeks back. Always had it on in the background while on BF and other sites, never got hit with the limit before- I sometimes fall asleep at night listening on my laptop. When did they start that "40hr for free, then pay to play" anyway?

Alternatives that were brought up: http://www.slacker.com/ radio and last.fm.

I had Pandora One for awhile, but I didn't pay for it. According to Pandora, it was a glitch in the system for those with Sprint phones using Pandora. When I started using Pandora on my phone, it auto-upgraded me to One by accident. I really did like it, and I liked the app too. Doesn't time out like listening through the free browser edition too. Haven't paid for One yet now that they downgraded me, but I've been considering it.

I really like Pandora. I have not needed to upgrade to the paid version, but plan to once I am prompted. The content is awesome. Sometimes it may be redundant, but then I just change stations.

I think it's well worth the price. Why not throw them a buck or two?

I used Pandora for a good long while...liked it fine, but yeah it got a little redundent. I recently changed to lastfm thanx to the advise someone in the other thread and so far I've no complaints. I guess I'll move to slacker when this one gets old.
