Another reason to avoid those bacteria infested scows.

As someone who worked on a cruise ship for three months, and has been a passenger on three differnt cruises in my life, I gotta say

My fear of Cruise ships, Rouge waves, and old people has been realized in that article. I fear the end of the world is near.

Wasn't there a band or perhaps a musical genre called Freak Wave?

jsharr 03-05-10 01:50 PM

Did they open for the Butthole Surfers?

bigbenaugust 03-05-10 02:21 PM

Perhaps.

I have seen that those "Rogue Waves" are far more common than first believed, and are quite possibly responsible for a significant number of vanished vessels over the centuries. There was one that severely damaged a north sea oil platform a few years back.

spry 03-05-10 04:47 PM

Silly people.
All they had to do was have everyone ride on the tail of the ship to nose up over the wave:thumb:Surfs up folks!

I've heard of a "red tide" but never a red wave.

That carpet looks straight out of the Poseidon Adventure.

Right! None of that has happened around here. Well maybe...

rumrunn6 03-08-10 12:58 PM

stay away from the windows even though you want to see the waves. terrible way to go and what a terrible thing to witness. very unfortunate for the friends and families of those killed

spry 03-08-10 10:19 PM

Even Popeye knew to "batten down the hatches" on the for-deck when the big seas come.

We don't believe those stories.I just figure those events of gun play and mayhem are the usual wild west shows to draw in us tourists from the north.
