The kiddos met a bully...

The apartment complex workers pushed a big pile of snow out back and the kids have been playing on it for the last couple weeks. An older girl, "Beth" has been playing with them, too. Yesterday, Beth decided it was her hill and she didn't want the kiddos playing on it so she yelled at them to get off it and said she wasn't their friend anymore.

This is something they have to figure out for themselves but I told them Beth didn't own the hill and anyone can play on it. Today they're going to tell Beth that. I guess we'll see what happens.

geez man, at least teach the kids how to do a proper leg sweep, and follow it up with a chest punch.

Teach them to stand up for themselves, and Beth was never a friend to begin with.

Hoo boy. I remember those days. Why do you think I ended up the way I did? Had to learn to survive. But I grew up in a tough neighborhood. Good luck to them, UA. Tell them to stand up for themselves and not be afraid. And even if they are, not to show it. Like you said, it's for everyone to use.

Perhaps they can negotiate a way to share it somehow.

I'll do that, Siu. I'm looking forward to seeing the outcome of this.

BTW, this avatar is creepier than your last one...

You southern Yankees don't know anything about fighting in snow, teach the kids how to make a snowball or two with rocks in them. A simple kiddly snowball fight will fix the problem. I know your daughter can pull off the sweet, innocent who me look in a heartbeat if the other girl tries to blame her for her injuries.

As a true Texican Cretin, I would like to express my utter indignation at the abhorrent language used by overthehillmedi. I will be registering a complaint with the Canadian ambassador to Texas.

spoken like a true pacifistic canuckistani!
Us southern folks know there's nothing like the feel of a rib or sternum snapping under the pressure of a good punch.

I disagree. The true Canadian style, when on a slippery surface, is toe-to-toe with a good sweatering.

It is because we hit so much harder than you pantywaists... without that padding bones would simply shatter under the impact.

UA - Tell the kiddos to ignore the hill troll and find other fun things to do together or with other kids... the troll is gonna be pretty sad and lonely on that hill all by herself.

When the troll decides being queen of the mountain is no fun she will come down and make peace.

Don't be surprised if the ambassador pulls your shirt up over your head and starts giving you head shots...

People think this sweatering is confined to the hockey arena but it is really a traditional greeting between Canadian males and is not really an act of violence but rather, a way to say, "Hey, it's good to see you".

I can't wait to meet you.

Topple the queen. Just climb the hill and throw her off. The moral is that no matter how big you are, there is always bigger. Then call your lawyer... you may need defence.

strength in numbers ~ "united we stand" "divided we fall" ~ be sure they confront her as a group.

also you might prep them for several outcomes and what they can do for each.

Does it work with jerseys? If it happens in the room, does it stay in the room?

When I was a kid, that was the the check-mate of all snow related struggles. Once your face was washed, it was all over.

Hey, you two ten gallon yahoos settle down. The only difference between Texans and Albertans is distance from a pole.

When I was a kid your dad talked to you once, if you didn't listen you got your little ass kicked, 80% of the time you wouldn't offend again. as for the little snow ***** I think Siu's advise is pretty good, they've got to learn to survive in this world as it isn't getting any better.
