Coming back down from Mt. Pisgah on the Blue Ridge Parkway early one morning I see standing in the middle of the road what I think at first glance is the biggest Labrador Retriever in the world. As I get closer I begin to realize this is a big black bear with nowhere to go except over the cliff or up the face of the cut. He sees me coming at him at 55 kph - and thank my lucky stars - freaks and tries to climb the rock wall as I go by. I can still hear those claws scrabbling on that rock wall. That was my best morning ride. Mounting panic and fear to total exhilaration in less than 10 seconds.

I can see that pizza will be a popular recommendation here.
Allow me to submit Antica Pizzeria Da Pasqualino Sas Di Di Marati Gennaro in Naples.
An experience I had here 15 years ago changed my views about pizza and about the importance of good food. I have been back.
Several other Neapolitan pizzerias are similarly excellent.

Sadly, I haven't been there in about 10 years.
Perhaps for KC style BBQ. But for TX Style there's none better than: Smittys Market, Lockhart Tx.
