I say, might as well get used to it whether you like or not. EVERONE is going back and starting to redo some older movies, TV's are starting to hit the market packages (screen, X2 glassses), and player for like $4000 CAN.

I had this thread figured out before I opened it

Saw this movie yesterday with my kid, and I liked it a lot. Visually, it was quite striking. Personally I'm not fond of 3-D; I think it's distracting. I'd see the movie in glorious 2-D, if I were you.

Nice clerk at theater let me peek on ongoing sessions of both 3d and 2d versions. I'm going for the 2d. 3d wasn't as impressive as I imagined.

Clerk also said that if I wanted 3d I'll be better off going to an IMAX.

Just saw a news report about the resurgence of 3d and the limited supply of theaters that can show the movies. Tons of new 3d places in the works, as well as a whole cottage industry of 3d survival kits, eyewear that will double as sunglasses and 3d glasses, etc.

The story went on to say how much more Avatar could have made if there were more 3d screens and the theaters did not have to pull it to be able to run Alice in Wonderland.

3D effects - and even the glasses themselves make me feel queasy - I'll do the 2D.

(that looks cute too!)
