Why females hate strip clubs?

...Iceland has voted to ban striptease shows...

Linky

Apparently this is the first EU country to do such a thing. It reminds me of my own hometown some years ago, when it was also cracking down on strip clubs. Puerto Rico elected this woman as governor and she closed the strip clubs. Iceland elected this woman as prime minister and she closed the strip clubs. Coincidence?

I propose we men fight back, close all male stripper clubs and ban all chip-n-dale related material. If we can't see any, they should not see any either.

I hate strip clubs, too, and I am male. I would rather see my gorgeous wife and her even-more-gorgeous sister in swim suits and tank tops in the summmer... they let me look and there are no bouncers. And I don't need to tip, either.

Rube - Just fast forward the clock a little and imagine your daughter working in an establishment like this that basically caters to desperate lonely men, many dangerous men, and men who do not see women as anything but objects.

This is one of those deep questions that keep me awake at night.

What is the meaning of life?
Is there life after death?
Why don't women like strip clubs?

I have only one problem with strip clubs being shut down, I really feel sorry for some of the strippers that count on this as their only source of income. I did go to a strip club once and was lucky enough to have a great conversation with a french stripper she noticed we both had the exact same tribal band on the same arm! We talked for about an hour, told me she was in the U.S. for about three years and was a full time student at Temple! and also mentioned that she liked to ride her bike on her spare time! If I wasn't married I think I would have exchanged numbers with her! Then just as quick as it started it ended as she had to go perform her "routine." When my friends and I were leaving she came down off the stage, gave me a great big hug, and went back to work. she seemed to be a genuinely nice person.
Sorry, little off topic there. I'll agree with UA, you're just hanging out with the wrong women as one of the buds I was with that night was indeed a woman!

Last time I made that argument (to a woman) the response was "Then good for her for taking their money". I don't agree, but the point had to be made.

This isn't the dark ages, most women can get a job doing something that isn't selling sex in some way. Perhaps these clubs are getting shut down because of illegal activity taking place? Just an idea. Either way, if a club gets shut down, the employees can go get another job someplace else.

A long time ago, I wanted to become a stripper for just this reason. I'm glad I never did, though. I think it would have messed me up emotionally.

Your right, but what about the few that can't.

Very true, but know I'm not making excuses for any of them, and its not that a regular job is hard to come by either, its just the fact that stripping is easier and a person can make a hell of a lot more money doing it.

Do you really think that there are people out there that absolutely CAN'T do anything but strip? There are a lot of brainless jobs out there.
