Somebody tell Steve Jobs that Tablets PCs are FAIL

They have their uses, granted. And they are a big hit among the health care industry. By all means, go tap *that* market. But they are NOT a mainstream consumer product. Never have, never will.

Oh, they're okay.

As long as they can run one of the most commonly used pieces of software on the internet, and you can change the batteries, when they go bad....

The IPad is the first nail in Flash's coffin. The iPad battery will probably outlast the iPad's lifespan, and Apple will not be changing batteries, they will charge you $75 at the Apple Store and hand you a BRAND NEW UNIT if the battery ever fails. That works.

Incorrect. It's the beginning of a new era

Apple is a design monopoly but that's because no one else can successfully come up with a great feature/design combination like they can.

Probably not. I did try, though.

There are far too many white people with their sense of identity symbiotically bonded to Apple products for the iPad to fail.

Why in the world would Steve Jobs care about PCs... whether tablet, laptop or desktop format???

As for the product failing... we'll see what happens when sales numbers are out from the "mainstream". As for other uses, I can think of dozens of uses for the thing in commercial applications outside medical.

Can you think of any stocks right now that you would advocate AGAINST buying???

Back in the '80s, AT&T declared that cell-phones are a small dead market and won't ever be profitable. So they decided not to get into that market...

There's plenty of older white people with disposable income who aren't very tech-savvy. And they really listen to this guy: http://ptech.allthingsd.com/20100331/apple-ipad-review. I think a lot of them buy Apple products simply as a thank-you for making them rich beyond imagination (with AAPL that is).
