What a day :(

1. Flat tire on car.
2. Coil failed in small mower
3. Big mower caught in hole in yard
4. Wait, its not a hole, it is the septic access. Where is the lid?
5. Look, the septic is completly full, the drain field is plugged. AND, where IS the lid?
6. The library didn't have any of the books I wanted to check out.

One word... starts with "S", ends with "Y" and has "ITT" in the middle. Seems to sum it up.

Hope it improves.

Bummer dude...mine includes a blue screen with "unexpected kernel mode trap." Looks the new install of Norton isn't doing so hot. Right now I'm in the computer lab trying to find ways to avoid playing the format C: card.

No lid? Shi...I mean poopy. Hardly seems worth stealing, and they don't usually tend to have much incentive to leave on their own.

The septic field is not clogged, the unknown tank lid turned out to be asphault, and another $550 flushed away.

iamlucky, our laptop "could not find hard drive"

The $550 is for pumping it out and replacing the asphault with a concrete cap and lid. I just spent the morning hand digging around the thing to save a couple of $$ THe hole is BIG. MY 54" mower would fit in it.

Here is the new cap. I ended up just having a company bring in the pieces and bricked and mortared it in myself. Unfortanatly the the tank does not seem to be processing water.

Um, that's because a septic system dosen't process water Rev. It processes solids. There's a port in the side of the tank which is connected by solid tubing to a distribution box. From there the waste water is transfered to a leach field... perforated pipes in a stone bed covered with soil.

So, your tank should always be approx 1/2 - 2/3 full of grey water with the solids at the bottom. The only reason you should need the tank pumped is if the ammount of solids going in the tank accrues faster that the enzymes can break them down.

Your hardware store should have an once a month enzyme treatment packet that you just flush the contents to help keep your system healthy.

That is the problem, it is full to the brim with grey water(Took about a week to fill up). Either the port and baffle or dist. box are plugged or the drain field is stopped up. Since getting a new field is the more expensive problem, my money is on it.
