    I've lost 35 lbs.

I'm shooting for 215 lb. I weighed 290 lbs a few months ago. I'm about 255 right now.

For any of the guys here, this is what I do. It works for me. I eat whatever I want but I only eat two meals per day. One at lunch and one at dinner. Today, for dinner, I had some fish tenders and buffalo boneless chicken strips.

    Here are my rules

    1) only drink sodas once per week...preferably at a fast food restaurant but I allow myself to also get a 20oz drink at the grocery one time per week also ...otherwise, I only drink water and orange juice
    2) 2 meals per day...can eat whatever I want but don't over do it...if you are still hungry after the meal, I allow myself to eat as many bananas or other fruits as I want
    3) exercise 2 or 3 times per week but I've injured myself 2 weeks ago so I went about 10 days without much exercise.... I do exercise bike and shadow boxing. Sometimes I'll only do shadow boxing for 15 minutes and 2 or 3 sets of sit-ups...I do shadow boxing because I hurt my leg so I needed a substitute.
    4) eat out at any restaurant you want one time per week. This week I went to KFC and had the double down sandwich and a coke.

Ok, there it is. That's basically it. It's not real torture. I have some muscle mass from lifting weights so I might be able to lose weight a little easier than some other people.

Good deal. I went from 260 at Christmas time to 235 now. I am doing the slimfast shake thing, since its cheap and easy. A 6 pack is only $5 at Wally world. I have a shake for breakfast on my way to work, take one for lunch along with a banana or orange for a morning snack (halfway between breakfast and lunch) and an apple for an afternoon snack. Then have a decent dinner. I started this when I started a new job that had decent hours and didn't require me to sit at a desk all day. Makes it easy. Also, I am a lot more active at my new job, and try to ride as much as I can so I am sure thats a big help. My goal is to get under 200. I am 6'3 tall.

That's incredible. I really only have about 3 LBS' within 20 miles of me. I can't imagine losing 35 of them. Has this happened in a short period or over a span of years?

Man, and I thought the economy was bad in Detroit...

Man, there's gonna be some butt-hurt people on this thread because you mentioned the horrible corporate malfeasance that is the KFC Double-Down. (That **** looks delicious.)

Congrats. I'm getting close to the tipping point and going back on a hardcore diet. Threads like this are inspiring.

It was pretty good but it's $5.50 per sandwich which is outrageous so I won't be getting another one. I won't be going back to KFC for a long time. Almost all their meals are $7 or more. It's nuts.

Stay aware that, as you get lighter, you'll be burning fewer calories since you won't be carrying around as much weight.

But, you'll likely be able to increase your exercising, whether in duration, frequency, or intensity, so you can probably compensate for those calories.

Ditch the soda and juice altogether (heck, super-low-calorie beers are probably healthier -- in moderation, as usual ) and start adding harder exercises as your injury heals. I'll bet that your current methods (as successful as they've been so far) will hit a plateau, so get ready to crank it up some more.

I've lost 30 lbs over the winter thanks to calorie counting and exercising 5-7 days a week (mostly P90X, but with occasional riding and some pickup sports). If I can't exercise in a day, I adjust my food intake. I'm getting to the point where some of the cardio-oriented P90X routines are getting easy, so I'll be replacing them with some Insanity routines.

Keep it up. It's gonna get fun soon.

Thanks Barrack. I worked out for 1 hour and 10 minutes tonight. 40 min of exercise bike and 25 min of shadow boxing. I'm getting quicker in my punches. I think every man should learn to fight. It increases confidence. I worked on a left, right, left, right upper cut.

You're right because I lost 15 lbs real quick from 290 to about 275 and then it was a bit harder ever since. I'm 5 pounds away from the 240 mark on my weigh scale but the scale is 10 lbs off. Each 10 lb mark on there is milestone and I get happy each time I reach another one.
