I've been waiting for 30+ years for a more talented singer/songwriter/guitarist than L. George to come around.

It doesn't happen. Oh well.

Every time I hear Little Feat I remember that they are easily the best band that I don't an album from. Thanks for accentuating my anguish, pcad.

I saw them at the Telluride Blues & Brews festival in 2002.

Didn't go there specifically to see them, but when they played I was surprised to recognize a lot of their songs. One of those bands that flew under the mainstream radar, I suppose.

Not really my style of music. But I definitely prefer the second guy over the first guy.

They really should have used a different name when the survivors got back together in the 80s.

Incorrect. They sounded just the same, I've seen them a couple of times since LG died.

Perhaps, but at Mars Hall (my dorm was called Marshall but somebody stole the 'hall' letters off the building) @ Connecticut College in 1977, when they were doing Tensies (bongs @ 10AM), L. Feat was always cranking on the record players (remember those?).

Never got into Tensies. And this was before MTBs by the way. Whoah.

Me too. A couple times w/ Craig Fuller when they were trying to recreate their old sound, and once in 2003 when they were *total* trainwreck jamband. Puke puke puke. Thing is, even old Feat is pretty bad post I don't know 75-ish when Payne and Barrere started expressing themselves more. That live album, w/ the tomato in a hammock, really captures the tension of Lowell trying to transcend the crappy jazz fusion attempts of the other two.

Feats Don't Fail Me Now is an all-time great rock and roll record. That plus this live recording is definitely all I need of them, though.

Plus Lowell's solo record where he finally did transcend the rest of them
