how come I keep having to say "yes"?

everytime I log in now I get a thing that says I agree to not fight and whatnot.

does everyone else get this? isn't that a given? if I wanted to fight I'd go to one of the kids boards.....

I come to bike forums for, usually, inteligent disscusions.
and to poke fun at the roadies....

You don't have to say yes. Just say no and see how far you get.

IMO:

It is not really fighting, it is creative arguing. A pastime really.

I really do look up to everyone who has the courage to post their political feelings on this board. It is people like erraticrider, brillig, Ajay, ruffstuff, etc who make this country great.

Contrary to what I post, there is plenty that I hold back that is truly complimentary of their view. But I post here for entertainment, and standing around patting each other on the back is well, boring.

No hard feelings,

ehenz

i have no hard feelings. it's the internet and it keeps me from doing any real work.

I'm a member of a few other boards that are, on average, made up of teenagers. these kids throw insults like it matters.... so when I see 'adults' doing it here, or appear to be doing it, i'll call them out.

I just think it's odd that almost everytime I come here, I am being asked to say "yes/no" instead of just being able to simply view the posts.

it's annoying.

Could it be that you're bookmarked to the Political section?

no, I don't think so. I get an email response, and click the link, or copy N paste the link into a browser and I get that "yes/no" thing.

but this time, i didn't...so weird.

It's the E-mail response that's causing it most likely - I wouldn't know because I don't allow e-mail notification. (Bloody e-mail would be swamped more than it is)

You only need to type in Yes to gain access to the politics and religion forum; and only for each unique session. The reason? 90% of the forum memberís donít want to see the politics discussion when they view the new posts.

Which makes perfect sense.

But it's funny that rule number one is the first out the window.
