Well, Hurricane Frances isn't going to hit us hard. It is going to dump just enought rain to ruin the whole Labor day weekend. I would usually ride twice as much on a long weekend but no riding for the past 3 days or this weekend.
Hopefully you all in South/East Florida have survived the storm unscathed!
Getting Cabin fever and have been couped up for less than 24 hours so far.. I am trying to look at the bright side. At least we still have power.
I am jonseing big time here in Palmetto. And to think we have another day to sit here and look at this stuff. Almost feel like riding in the wind and see what I can do with a 50 mph headwind! Maybe I will wait until 90 mph winds and see what my top speed will be.
I am completly stir crazy from this storm. This is the third day of being inside and I can't take it!!! The big winds have finally passed, but it is still raining. If this keeps up I may take the beater bike out for a rain ride.
I couldn't take it any longer so I went out for a ride during a calm period. I ended up in a squall about half way. My heart rate monitor was beeping because I was going over 90% mhr, but I was only making 13 mph! I couldn't see a thing with the rain sting my face. When I turned around to go donwn wind I could go 20 mph without pedelling. At least I got a ride in.
