Canon loyalty program - is it worthwhile?

My A85 Powershot has crapped out. Nothing shows on the display after shooting. But older pics (>2weeks ago) are there.

Looking at another P&S that'll fit in the jersey pocket, can be fired one-handed, and has IS.
So, have you had a good experience with the Canon loyalty program?

Didn't know Canon had that... may have to check into it.

As for the P&S, mine is an Olympus. Not as good as Canon on pic quality, but waterproof, drop proof, crush proof and one handable. Check out the Tough series on the Olympus page. Great for outdoor activities!

not sure about the loyalty program, but I've been happy with my Cannon P&S. Next one will have IS though, hard to get on-the-bike shots on some of the roads around here.
