Pcad's Grammar and Spelling Rant

The impression I get on the Internet is that half the world doesn't think spelling or grammar matter at all. This reality is painfully illustrated by the horrific state of the 'English' foisted on the world by these people. So it goes.

Newsflash: when your grammar and spelling blows, you come across as an imbecile, whether you realize this or not (imbeciles typically are blissfully unaware). Try to bear this in mind.

Your move kid.

No skin of my nose. Consider my rant as the warning label on a pack of cigarettes. But if you want to smoke, knock yourself out.

Good grief the world is such a staggering moron festival.

And BF is the Epicenter.

I agree. By the way, starting a sentence with a conjunction used to be considered poor grammar. It's only the bastardization of the english language that now accepts sentences that start with 'and' or 'but'. That's my rant for the day

He could also be missing a comma between "Good grief" and "the world is such a staggering moron festival".

I don't give a rats ass if someone I know has bad grammar and can't spell, as long as they're good people is all that matters to me.

Neither do I. I just couldn't resist the obvious jabs that Pcad set himself up for. It's almost like he planted the errors

Notwithstanding his own minor errata, pcad is absolutely right. Gee people, can't we at least try?

My personal peeves are the homophones. Lets review: "brake" is not the same as "break"; "rode" is not the same as "road"; and "then" isn't nearly the same as "than". I'd make a longer list, but BF will time me out before I finish this update.

How's my grammar?

I know my spelling is perfect, because firefox spell-checker takes care of that.

I'd never even do it in an email, but on BF it's okay.

I'm surprised that I still tend to take things a bit to serious.

My grammar died in 1978. The other one died before I was born and I never knew either of my grandads.
