Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

Pork and Tornado Warnings! (BBQ with a Twist)-er :p

Yep, it's a BBQ thread, with a twist. I have a pork loin and potatoes slow roasting for dinner tonight, and the weather hasn't been real cooperative.

And as things got really going well, the weather headed south on me. The tornado sirens were going off, and the sky was looking real nasty, and we got enough rain that I started looking for a guy with an ark.....

So, good thing I'm a bike tourist and camper! Nothing like a quick shelter with a tarp!

And here's dinner, ready inj about another half hour or so.

Very quick thinking saves the meal. At first glance I thought you were going to tell us a twister up, and took your dinner. Glad it wasn't the case.

I went for a nice ride with a tornado warning in effect. I guess I win the Darwin award.

Is that a trike wheel under the tarp? Where the heck does one keep a trike in an apartment anyway ??? outside ??

Locked outside under a tarp/cover in the Spring/Summer/Fall, and in the apartment during the winter.

I think a lot of people east of Toledo are still searching for their grills after last week.

And the final product!

Man it tasted good! It was worth the trouble.

How do you tell an avid BBQ Guy? He's the one out there rigging a tarp shelter in the lightning with the tornado sirens going off.

Shouldn't it be a BBQ thread with a twist-er?

Put a piece of plywood across the bottom of the wooden trike holder, put the whole thing in the dining room upside down as a table.

I'm surprised you were still out in that. I was driving home during that mess. Looks delicious though.
