Raymond Scott and his inventions created the music that was in the cartoons that many of us watched while we were growing up. He was a pretty interesting guy, and some of his devices predated the Moog synthesizers that most people think were used to create the first electronic music. Not bad for a guy who looks like he's going to offer you a freshly caught bass for your birthday.
