I like Granny Smith apples myself.

Steve Jobs is probably the single biggest enemy that apple has. I dare say they would double their market share if he wasn't around. Too many people won't buy an Apple specifically because of Stevie.

Dropped out of Reed College, I never knew that. The only Reedie celeb I've kinda kept tabs on is Dr. Demento.

Lol..if it weren't for Stevie; Apple would most certainly have gone bankrupt in 1998...but let's not go there. The video is awesome and inspiring.

It's seems that Apple is doing just fine without the Stevie haters.

Hruh? I think you and I have a different definition of "Too many people". I doubt there's any way Apple could double their market share if they got a new CEO. Most people that buy stuff don't give a damn who the CEO of any given company is. Even if the Woz took over, I probably wouldn't buy an Apple, unless maybe they came out with a decent $500 desktop, but I'd even consider that if Jobs was still at the helm.

Winnar!

What is up with this Apple-Love thing anyway? It's like some people and Treks. I really like lots of things, but I won't buy one just on the faith that it has a purpose that will be revealed to me by God/Jobs.

I guess the pundits were right, though... you could take piece of dog sh!+, put it in a pretty plastic case with a big glowing button on it, and people would buy it.

People are stupid.

Rooting for a company to make more money is strange. The customer should be in it for him/herself.

Yes it is strange. Apple is one of the few companies in the world who have managed to inspire their customers to think like that. Genius huh

Bill gates helped a bit too ...

Steve jobs had serious myopia in the early days. His idea of expansion and increasing quality led to distancing himself from the people who would bring him the money...he has definitely turned that around. In fact, I really don't know any geeks that won't buy apples products BECAUSE of him...I don't buy the products because they aren't what I want, and I am like a fly to its own ****...not interested.

That's been my attitude for many many products including Apple at one point in time. It changed drastically when I actually allowed myself to try them out. What I see on a computer screen and when I actually tried the products led me to very different conclusions. Macs turned out to be way more compatible with the PC world that I ever even dreamed possible.

I work in the industry. I have had the pleasure of trying them all out and pretty much every generation. They are great for what they do and I recommend them to certain types of clients. But they don't do everything and don't work for everyone. ...Great products, but not the be all and end all of computing greatness.

The ipad holds interest for me, for my gf. However being tied to rogers for certain things makes me wanna gauge my eyes out. I despise NA's peering agreements and how I have to marry some really crappy companies just to use a product...I really hope we can pull our heads out of our butts and see how much better Asia and Europes business models are for this type of stuff.

Rooting for a company to make money makes sense if you own their stock.
