Society is turning EVIL!

DANG! I was commuting last night, to Mens Bible Study of all things. @6:45, temperature was 103 and stopped at a light. Light turned green and as a car passed by, some *#(&%@, leaned out a window and bellowed FU Loser!

Then on the way home around 10:30, just tooling up Pecos and same thing, slight variation on the greeting. I guess I should be grateful that I didn't absorb a Big Gulp or burrito.

Is this a sign of the end of the world?

I have that happen from time to time, too, and usually from a rustbucket of a car that probably cost 1/3 the cost of the bike I'm riding at the time, and usually by someone that could stand to lose 75 or more pounds.

Tom,you're painting with a broad brush here.
Most of the porkers here buy the best new large car as most of their life is spent inside it.

some jerks in a van threw water or something on me after they got held up by construction.
They couldn't pass me anyways since there were on-coming cars and the road was down to one lane where the lane I was in was just wide enough for a bike.

This on a wide two lane road with bike lanes.
It's a good thing they gunned it, because if I caught up, I don't know what I would have done to them or their van.

You were on your way to bible study, so study Matthew 24:9. You were only experiencing that which you have been promised. Give praise in all things.

How Prophetic, both cars were like mid 80s rust bucket rice burners. Cost more to license and insure than to buy.

Is this a sign of the end of the world?

Society has always been evil, they are just letting their true colors show a little more these days.

That crap seems to happen everywhere, its happened for years while I was out cycling - although its not as bad here in Sacramento as we actually have a sizable cycling community. Instead, I get jerks on the trail who all think they're Lance and can't be bothered with saying "on your left" or basic courtesies to other slower cyclists (like me) who are following the rules of the trail...

I'll take asinine words over the close brushback of a side mirror anyday. Or even the ass in the whistling turbo-diesel who feels obliged to puke a bucket of carbon in my direction. Fortunately I see very little of that behavior around here.

I don't know, it used to be much worse. Not too long ago, people used to gather at the town square to see others getting tortured, hanged, quartered and dismembered. It was the equivalent of watching TV today. ****, murder, pillage, it was just regular life.

Nowadays, I can't even frickin' get live coverage of the Utah firing-squad in action. Not even on Pay Per View, damnit !!!

Cowardly idiots screaming at people they don't like/understand is a sign that everything is working perfectly. I'll worry when everyone is so nice, you'll know they're up to something.

no, no, you're supposed to take everything as a sign. A sign that the world is on the verge of Armageddon.

I don't think getting yelled at from a passing vehicle is a sign of society turning more evil. It is just somebody trying to get a rise out a convenient target, a cyclist. To me it is a sign of that individual's emptiness rather than growing evilness.

Nothing better than FOO, I feel better having foosters to share my pain.

Is this an Armaghetic Sign that the Remnant is being assembled, I'm so encouraged.

BTW Pames-which cheek should a cyclist turn?
