What bike does Dupree from "You, Me and Dupree" use?

I want to buy one of these types of bikes, does anyone know which one this is, or a model that is similar as it is exactly what I had in mind:

Thanks

Missing a spoke in the front wheel, too.
Ok I have no idea what any of that means haha, but thanks for the help. I just need it for 5 miles a day to/from college and I like the look of these older ones rather than the new ones... which is convenient because as a student, my budget is tight!

So basically I just need to look for a 70s model?

Well, those are actually hard to find. Go to your local thrift-store or scour Craisglist and local garage-sales for an '80s bike going for $10-20 and it'll be roughly equivalent to that bike above. Will get the commuting tasks done without too much trouble.

In the movie, they said it's a Schwinn. But I'm not sure if they use it as a proper-noun sense or as a generic moniker for bike. Kinda like saying "10-speed" for a road-bike.

So is this the modern version of that other bike movie?

I have an old Nishiki 10 speed road bike in excellent condition that I will sell to you for a few hundred dollars. One you ride this bike on campus, everyone will be on your jock.
