I hope the storm passes soon

I thinks it's awesome that bikeforums had a significant part in leading to a pretty important change in some of Kryptonite's lock designs. One of our members is even being quoted in the Boston Globe for his part in making this concern publicly known. This is bikeforums making a difference.

On the other hand, the load on the server is getting annoying and pages are crawling. I was amazed to check the bottom of the main page and find that 1500+ guests were on the forums! I'm sure that's not even anywhere near the peak for the week either. It definitely looks like some of the upgrades Joe's been making lately are proving their worth. I'd better go click a couple of ads now.

I'm curious, how does the traffic this week compare to the infamous Al Quaeda incident?

About the time I joined, the Al Qaeda, or some people with ties to the group apparently managed to post some material on the site. CNN picked up on it and put the URL in one of their articles and the subsequent traffic brought the site down.
