    audio help

    got one of these today for a bike

    how do you hook it up if you have no ignition? like wiring it to a battery both the orange and red are power
    riding and pimpin again

    it appears that you would hook both orange and red direct to pos. (+) side of battery. The orange is low A draw, so I bet it keeps the memory powered up at all times and the red powers the amplifier and other circuits.

    cool thanks the battery has a fuse on the positive side so its ok to wire straight to battery?

    i have a low attention span and it sucks riding all quiet in a bike trail, and i learned the hardway about headphones

    What is the other half of that note that says:

    NOTE: If it is installed on electric bicycle...
    Is that the answer? Otherwise, I agree with jsharr. But I might replace the ignition with a 2A switch instead of hard-wiring it straight through, just so you have some on/off capability.

    I have always hooked electronics up directly to the battery, as long as there is an inline fuse or breaker of the correct size to protect the equipment. This is on sailboats, but a 12v battery is a 12v battery to me.

    And yes, a swithc could be added easily. On/Off key switches of this sort can be found at any decent marine supplier. Might even give the bike a cool look to have a key switch.

    Use a giant lighted red switch like I had for the fog lamps on my long-departed Tacoma.
