    My first Android app

I don't believe in testing on animals, so I'm substituting foosters

I just wrote a program designed to get you out of meetings from hell. I wrote it for my own personal use, but am making it available to a select few (i.e. those crazy enough to try it).

It's free and worth every penny. Details at http://saveme.alptown.com/

    Awesome!

Are you working on getting it to recognize a real call?

Cool - how hard is it to create an app, anyway?

Any idiot can do it, which is why I decided to give it a shot. The hardest part was that the environment is extremely buggy. For simple things like they do in their examples, it works great. Also, they give you some really interesting tools. Almost as interesting is basic stuff they don't provide. But the environment is beta, so some tolerance is called for.

First priorities are getting the hardware keys to behave properly and recognize system preferences. However, getting it to recognize a real call should be relatively easy and it's unlikely to be harder than figuring out preferences. While I was screwing around, I programmed my phone to call itself (it just sent itself to voicemail).
