Another thing for the "only in Asia" files...

OK, so I stunned you all with the padded Toyota minivan a while ago. Here's a reminder just in case you forgot...

Tonight, however, we saw something SOOOO much better.

Having money allows you to buy nice things, right? Expensive things that are well designed and that are stylish and good looking. Yes?

No.

Here is a Rolls Royce.

Two tone - some sort of soft pearlescent yellow with white. It actually reminded me of the inner filling to a Cadbury Cream Egg.

Sometimes, just because you can, it doesn't mean that you should.

That Mercedes is horrid - but I still think I win. That Roller is in public and not in a museum or car show.

The white almost looks like primer. You have to wonder if the shop technician who did the paint job was crying in horror as he did it.

It would be funny to know what the RR dealership thinks of it and what they say when it comes back for servicing.

I posted this photo on my Facebook page and it seems that one of my cycling contacts here knows the owner.

Will need to go and pump this guy for information about it!

Isn't there some diamond (or fake diamond) covered Mercedes out there?

My very first car was multiple shades of red (I never could find an accurate match despite buying enough aerosol sprays to keep a herd of teenage delinquents buzzing for a month), primer gray and copious amounts of rust. But the paint job still looked better than that bloody thing.

At least the Rolls is well done. All the others look cheap.

That goes for the SLR model too.

Gold on a car or clothing is a big no!

gold might be a nice trimming, but I question the tastes of using it for the main colour.

That rolls needs to be turned into a woodie for the ultimate in class.

I like that the padded car owner has the pedestrians and cyclists in mind.

Or maybe he's aware of his own limitations as a driver.
