OK, let's hear them ... and why do you think you'll be successful this year?

Not to make resolutions. Resolutions only require a thought. Plans require a commitment.

Patience and tolerance. I seem to lack these.

Oh and double my yearly United Way contribution to the Humane Society. Just had another elderly woman be taken in for hoarding hundreds of birds, cats, dogs, horses, etc. I only saw one small vid of the animals and it confirmed my thoughts about upping my contribution

I plan to complete a century ride by fall. Normally, that wouldn't be a big deal as I do them every Saturday spring through fall.

I have achillies surgery scheduled for April and will be rehabing that for 20 weeks afterwards.

To be healthier in mind, body, and spirit and to complete a marathon.

Why I'll be successful? I have someone by my side who will help me.

I've decided last night to put half my paycheck away. I'm going to succeed because it will be automatic deduction. No more fun car stuff or knives for Siu.

I'm also going to back off on my employee rights work. I'm getting too emotionally involved in it. I'm going to succeed because my goal is to have a less stressful life.

Completing a century in 2011. I'm sure if I can complete one, I could do as the randonneur club I was with do and ride 2 or 3 a year. I really feel positive about this because I had tried to ride one out in Glenrose TX and there are nothing but hills there.
I also want to go back to school and take a few courses in business management.

You can do this. Just take your time and ride at your own pace. It doesn't matter how long it takes.

My resolution is to start doing yoga twice a week. I don't always stretch after cycling and it's really starting to tighten my muscles. I don't like stretching but it always makes me feel good afterward.

My resolutions are:

1) finish paying off the mortgage by summer.
2) change my Tim Horton's coffee order to a regular rather than a double double.
3) limit my pop intake to 2 cans per week. I had been drinking up to 2 per day.
4) lose 20 lbs.

As long as the economy doesn't get in the way, number 1 will be done. Number 2, 3 and 4 will be a bit tougher to do. Right now I'm sipping on a coke. Then again, it's not 2011 yet

• Buy a house (specifically the one I rent/live in right now.)
• Build my touring/distance bike. (I've got frame and fork and some more parts on order already)
• Ride it 100 (or more) miles in one day.
• Ride the entire C&O trail.

1. Overthrow a corrupt social order.
2. Take pictures of the scenery. Sometimes you need to have a reason to slow down and enjoy it, you know?

Oh, yeah, and 3. Stick it to The Man <(^_^<)
Or, you know, at least make him feel itchy or uncomfortable or something.

This will certainly increase your personal safety... but will decrease the amount of "oh my, I cut myself again" threads.
