Happy New Year!!!

Here I am by the beach at Shek O with the new year sun rising behind me. Ended up at the Peak. 70km, 4300ft of climbing.

How did your year start?

My new year started with a 13 miles, -9*F commute into work. Unfortunately no pics though.

I love noodles.

We would have ridden across midnight, but it was thunderstorming.

Thunderstorms on New Years Eve, in Indiana just ain't normal.

Cigars, drinks, and conversation over a fire pit in the backyard of a friend of mine. I had a nice, quiet little party with friends.

I should have taken the bike out today. It was sunny and cool, and we have rain inbound over the next 3 days. I wasn't hung over (didn't drink much last night), but I didn't sleep well and was too tired to get on the bike. I did 30 minutes on the elliptical watching college football instead.

Tried for a 100.
20-30 MPH winds did me in.
Gave up at 50 miles.

16 miles at 10F dropping to 5F, including about 1.5 miles of hike-a-bike as we tried some off-road trails that weren't rideable:
