Official New Year Check In thread.

Everybody make it through New Year's Eve okay?

No hangovers or yucky episodes?

Got invited to a few parties but I consider New Year's Eve a drunk holiday and since I don't drink I figure it would be for entertainment purposes only. Didn't want to take my car out and expose it and myself to drunk drivers.

Worked until 9pm last night and got to bed at around 1130. Heard some gunshots at midnight, rolled over and got a full nights sleep.

Glad you're doing okay, MV. Happy New Year!

I had a nice, rather quiet New Year's Eve. No ill effects this morning.

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

2 bottles of Cabernet, and one bottle of Port, and nary a trace of hangover.

I feel great today.

Rang in the new year with my daughters... we played cards and watched the fireworks from home as we are just that close to things.

Really missed that midnight kissing...

Had some family over and stayed up - with 4 young kids from 4-11 years old - to watch the fireworks from the top of Pikes Peak. At 5 past midnight, with no fireworks in sight, learned that the group that hikes up each New Year abandoned the attempt this year because of the extreme weather (cold and snow).

Would have put the kiddos to bed way earlier if we had known that!

New Years was lowkey for me, between getting over a sinus infection and breaking in a new bike. I was spent.

Yucky episode (12 days long) ended New Years' Eve when we arrived SJC from AVP via ORD and DEN. Baby went to bed at 4:30, wife at 6:30, I at 9ish. Awoke at 12:30 to find a party adjourning in the neighborhood a little loudly. Other than that, average night with a baby getting over the flu and still on Eastern time. He woke up at 4am.

Went out to dinner and a movie with the wife. We saw the King's Speech. Then came home killed a bottle of champagne and hit the sack. January 1 was business as usual.

I woke up dressed like Gil Gerard on Jan 2nd 2031 with no hangover but my soc sec checks were only $1.75. Fortunately, time machines are very affordable in the future so I purchased one and set it to NYE 2010 and...aww damnit. It happened again

Arrived back home at 5 p.m. on New Year's Eve, went to a friend's apartment for a party where I spent most of my time with a bunch of people huddled around the space heater.
