If you're a photographer you know what I'm talking about....

I'm not a photographer, but I know who Ken Rockwell is, and your comparison doesn't fit.

Ken Rockwell gets paid to do what he does.

Pcad is just a geezer passing the time.

--edit--

And I mean 'geezer' in the most polite and complementary way possible.

When he sees this how many times will he respond to his own posts? I think three for a total of four.

Pcad doesn't ride his bike. He sits on it and the Earth revolves under him.

I see the simularities. Ken Rockwell claims that he buys all of stuff that he reviews.

I'm a photographer and I have no idea who Ken Rockwell is, until now...

So by comparing Ken Rockwell and Pcad are you saying Pcads website blows and he turns the saturation waaaay up on all his photographs?

KR is a DB and his website sucks. If he didn't post pics of himself I'd swear he was 12.

This forum could use some of the Ken Rockwell logic:

The equipment is far less important than the skills of the user.

There are equipment junkies and then there are photographers / cyclists.

The older stuff is often better.

The cost of the gear doesn't correlate with the end product.

You should use equipment a little before you recommend or trash it.

etc. etc.

If you google "Ken Rockwell is an idiot" it provides some amusing results. I shall now try it subsituting Pcad for Ken Rockwell.

That thread had a great premise, a promising start, then morphed into Dallas Cowboys (gag) talk by the end. Still, I gave the thread an 8.75.

I have wondered if Ken Rockwell is on Nikon's payroll because he loves everything Nikon. I am a Nikon guy too but there is nothing wrong with Canon, Pentax, etc.

Rockwell takes the "it is the photographer, not the camera" mantra a little too far. And he's a pretentious prat.

Our Pope, OTOH, is good craic.

BTW, the title of this thread makes little sense on many levels. Pcad is more like the Derk Dorf of cycling.

I read Ken Rockwell, as well as other websites. I don't believe everything he says, nor to I discount everything he says, I make up my own mind, same as I do with other websites I read.
