How much does it take in the morning?

How many cups(gallons) of coffee/pop/soda/tea what have you's does it take to make you functional?

For me it's about 3. I've been thinking of toning it down though because the last time we ran out of coffee, I got a migraine and forgot who I was for 24 hours.

Cheers!

Generally, one cup of tea. I have a 32 oz tea press sitting in front of me at work though if things are moving slow.

I drink diet soda or the "zero" variety. It takes me like 3 cups & 2 cigarettes to get me out of the Morning Zombie State.

If/when I use coffee instead of soda, the effects are the same. The only thing that changes is the size of the cup with is a lot smaller with coffee than with soda.

I've also noticed that when using coffee, the hunger disappears. When drinking soda I still feel desperately hungry after the 3-4 cups.

That's the same for me with coffee. If I drink a decent amount I don't feel hungry for awhile.

2-3 cups of coffee usually. Sometimes 1, sometimes 5.

My girlfriend has these 11oz mugs with a cartoon shark and the name "Sharky" on them. They're great for getting up and getting at it.

2 cups of half caff and a shower. I can't drink fully leaded since quitting smoking, just gives me the jitters.

edited to add: although I have been known to drink decaf all day.

1-2 cups of coffee - every day - tried going half-caf but it didn't take - may try again.

two large cups, equal to about 1/3 to 1/2 pot total. To be fair though, that second cup is my travel mug and it seldom gets finished before going cold.

A good ride is better than any amount of caffeine.

I wish it worked for me alone. I tried it once and found it just pumped the blood into my headache that much more.

I prefer a good ride followed by a good cup (or three) of caffeine.

I'll often have a steady stream of caffeine before switching to beer in the evenings. A little worried my life is becoming chemical dependent.

Get over the caffeine addiction first, then start riding in the morning.

+1. I have been on and off caffeine so many times, but the ride is always great.

Just one is usually fine. Took me two hours after I got up to finally brew it today, though.

None.

I am a major morning person, I usually wake up a few moments before my alarm, and I am ready to go before I even get out of bed. It drives my wife crazy, who takes three hours to be fully awake. She doesn't drink anything, either, though.
