That is from the AE-1, but the film was brand new Fuji, just generic, 200 speed film. I was pleased with the colors in most of the pictures. Fairly subdued and a few of the shots really do have a vintage feel to them. I really do like the AE1 (actually mine is the "Program" model), maybe more than my Canon 7d.

These are digital, but I tried to make them look like film. I don't think they're quite there, but I like them fairly well.

So I developed my negatives at a local pharmacy that does photos... It was my first Yoshika FX-3 super 2000 test... I am happy with results, but can please someone tell why they are so grainy...Could it be an old film?

I really don't know if that's a lot for 400 or not. Maybe someone more knowledgeable in film can tell you. Regardless, I think your photos look excellent. To me, only the last shot looks especially grainy, and in my opinion it works really well with that particular photo.

That's a goodly amount of grain for 400 speed.
What brand of film were you using? It kinda looks like Ilford 3200 shot at 400.

Thank you.. People that developed those complimented them as well..

Right now I got color 200 iso (also an old film i've had for at least 7 years) and I am guessing 400 would work better with lower light. It was a really bright day. In the camera, the ISO goes all the way to 3200 so that's a bit confusing to me. On some photos with more contrast, grain is lower.

It was a Kodak that's been laying around the house for years. Maybe the settings on my old camera are a bit out of whack perhaps. Lens is 75-200 mm macro.

Gotta clean it too.

Wemt to a State Park today with a long boardwalk over the swamp. Braved it after a healthy coating of mosquito repellant and was rewarded.

After the mother submerged, the babies found other areas.

EriK, wow! I think I've seen your work somewhere before. Your watermark looks familiar, along with your astrophotography style.

Took these last night:

Some Ilford HP5+ pushed to 1600ISO

It's actually a scan from a print on some generic photo paper I had.

Here are 3 more from that set. After abandoning her babies, coming towards me. I am about 2 feet above the water.

Went under me. Look at those claws!

Normally a lot of birds here. Liked the reflection. It is the start of that boardwalk (to my rear) along and over the stream where saw the gator.

Thanks Lamplight. Glad to have a famous watermark. Maybe you saw it this thread or in the touring forum, although I don't usually do astrophography. I just got a good high ISO camera and dipped my toes into star photos and time-lapses. I did a time-lapse from the same angle but the lens quickly fogged up.

A few more shots from the same trip:

Very nice Erik! The staircase kind of makes me a little queasy. Here are a few from my second roll of film.

It's actually an old man with a walker. He was walking behind me, and I stopped to let him pass, hoping for a good photo-op. But he was moving surprisingly fast, so before I knew it he was rounding the corner! Luckily I managed to at least catch his reflection, and it probably worked out better anyway.
