Had to pull the camera out of the carry-on during our flight home on Sunday. It was just too lovely not to photograph. We had just flown over Milwaukee and were moving over Lake Michigan.

More auroras. It's been cloudy and rainy for ten days, then we got a one-hour clearing showing lights in the sky.

Panning is difficult to pull off. Especially with film where you get one shot.

And even harder with bicycles that have constantly moving humans on them! But you pulled it off very well, I'd say. Mine was digital, though I do have a couple of mediocre panning film shots as well.

Ideally I would have panned with this shot, but I saw the car at the last second so I'm lucky I got any picture at all:

Pic from the days when my bicycle had a motor

Snowstorm from this past weekend, view from my back porch. Sorry, not very artistic, I could probably crop it and make it better:

The original snowstorm pic is here, it's actually pretty cool in full size:

My second roll of B&W film, this time used with my 1950s Kodak Signet 40. Interesting results. Extremely low contrast for whatever reason, but I kind of like the way they look.

Ozark Roadies ride Fayetteville to Van Buren, Arkansas (59 miles) on Sunday, November 6, 2011. Bikes were loaded on the Arkansas and Missouri Railroad car, and we and bikes enjoyed a great train ride back to Fayetteville. One Cat 2 climb, one Cat 3 climb and a Cat 5 climb, with lots of rollers. Was glad to get on the train.
