Got back my first rolls of film from the Mamiya. Considering the camera jammed up on every roll, I suppose I'm happy with the few that actually turned out.

arkansasgal, very nice macro. lamplight = damned!

Dug through the photo archives for a few of my family to get up on my Picasa for them. Did a once over in lightroom on most of them. A few more than others:

Margaret in Chicago

An older one of my dad, turned B&W, etc. This was taken in 2002.

And lastly, one of my all time favorite pictures of him, made even better with a little post processing:

Cuda, it's nice sometimes to go back to old photos and apply newly-learned processing skills!

Arkansasgal, your macro abilities are improving exponentially!

Here's a shot from yesterday:

And that's why I ride the bus.

I need to try macro photography. With my DSLR I never could justify the lens, but my X10 has a halfway decent macro mode. My problem is I can't hold the camera steady enough, and I never have a tripod with me.

I have a Nikon Coolpix P7000 with a macro mode, and use a lightweight monopod that is easy for me to take with me. So, it is kind of a combination of hand-held and monopod, because a lot of times I need to really zero in on something and have to get the camera in different angles. The monopod I have does not allow me to adjust the camera angle, but it does help tremendously not to be holding the camera itself.
