Random shot of space with the distant glow of suburbia.

Some pictures from my day trip on Friday. These are digital, but I also took a film camera and I'll get those pictures back tomorrow.

I took these hiking in Vail this weekend.

The aspens are probably another week or so away from peak color.

When sweeping up a broken lightbulb, the sounds made by the large shards are the very same as those made by one's SLR when it vomits out its mirror.

Tomorrow is 5d day.

Headed down to Nathan Phillips Square in downtown Toronto today to see this assemblage of 3,144 bicycles by sculptor Ai Weiwei being completed for tonight's "Nuit Blanche" street arts festival. Quite mesmerizing with so many perspectives. It will be there until October 17 if you want to take a look.

Great images of the installation!!!...for me especially the third one. If you ever get a chance to see the Alison Klayman movie ‘Ai Weiwei: Never Sorry’ you may like it.

I've been a fan ever since seeing some of his photography a few years ago. He also did an installation this year using 150 tons of rebar recovered from schools that collapsed because of shoddy construction (killing thousands of children) during the sichuan quake.
