Excited today I bought my first really decent lens, used but good as new saving heaps.

So took a picture.

Nice wide angle shot. I've got the Tokina 11-16mm mostly because I wanted the constant 2.8 max aperture. I've heard good things about the Canon as well.

Couple more recent shots and/or recent edits. Still have to get the photos from my last two trips to the park off the camera...

Those lens have good reviews. I didn't consider them with my stubbornness for all thing Canon. It should be a better low light lens and well priced against the Canon.

I can't say I blame you there. I rented it once for a trip to Oregon so I could get an end-to-end shot of the Spruce Goose. Second time I rented it with aims to get the milky way, that trip got cut short but when I was planning on heading to Montana last September I decided that if I kept renting it for a week or more at a time I would be better off buying the lens.

Over all, a good lens. Edges can get a bit soft in the extreme wide angle, but that is just the nature of the beast.

Thanks CG nice shots.
I wasn't going to post this but what the hey! Been nice way out in the country sitting outside on hot nights playing with the camera. The distant city lights aren't really this bright, just pushin the noise limits

They are all great shots but I guess maybe because of the location or the time of the day (were they taken around noon? I didn't check exif) black and white works better for me. Love that eagle head shot. It looks awesome.

I don't have a motorcycle anymore. I crashed it back in October. Broke some bones lost bunch of skin but I'm ok and recovered 100%. Taking a break from the morized bike and trying to ride my pedal bike as much as I can . (Without much success in last couple of weeks)

Just a little Valentine arrangement I made today to surprise my wife with a Facebook post (and counter some of the ones she was posting.)
