Chicken Coop

So, due to bugs eating all of the plants, we will be raising chickens this year instead of a garden. Hopefully they will rid the garden of the bugs. I have been tasked with building the coop. I am thinking something like this. I would like to see some FOO suggestions though.

What say you FOO is this eggcellent or can you do better?

I would paint it like a Chik Fil A, or KFC or Church's, depending your taste and region.

Unless they are English chickens, in which case, it would be a chicken saloon.

I would put 5 doors on it so it can be a chicken hatch.

I like the way you think. It will definitely have some cows and a Chick-Fil-A paint scheme.

I could put some Lambroghini doors on it and make it a chick magnet.

When I was growing up, we kept our chickens in an old metal shed. The horse lived in the back of an old trailer. They were ok with this, as far as I know. On the other hand, three roosters once cornered on of my dad's buddies...

That's pretty much what we had. But now I have neighbors and we want to make it fun for the kids. My son is 13 and wants to help build. My daughter is 11 and likes goofy designs. So I want to make something fun for all.

I'd make it look like this and call it Chicken Eatza.

I'd go for the sponge-bob pineapple design if you're thinking "goofy"

But seriously - you want to have closing doors on ALL openings, or your yard will be the dinner destination of every skunk, weasel, possum & raccoon in the 'hood, nevermind the snakes going after the eggs and the mice & rats that the chickenfeed will draw in!
