Anyone else sorry to see winter end?

I like winter. No crowds. You can go out and have the whole world to yourself. Even when I ride the roads there are no loud motorcycles, not much tourist traffic. Other than the cold, winter ain't so bad.

Couch 03-12-11 10:23 PM

No.

Couch

cyclokitty 03-12-11 11:37 PM

No.

I saw a robin today. I wanted to high 5 it.

____asdfghjkl 03-12-11 11:38 PM

I like winter because it's easier to warm up and I like the cold anyway.
Except commuting here whether by car or bike is terrible even if there is an inch of snow. and I thought people would already know how to drive in the rain since it's the PNW. lol

Dannihilator 03-12-11 11:40 PM

Good riddens to winter. It's possible that it has left me temporarily disabled.

ps... freak

I like the ability to sleep in the cold. I would prefer it being spring 16/7 though personally. Spring in the day and winter at night.

Sixty Fiver 03-12-11 11:55 PM

It was nearly 30 below yesterday...

no1mad 03-12-11 11:55 PM

The only reason that I'll even remotely feel sad that it's warming up is I'm now going to have to do yard work.

skijor 03-13-11 12:15 AM

Still no mosquitoes. Woot!

sknhgy 03-13-11 07:25 AM

Oh yea, no mosquitos, no hot sun, no ticks or poision ivy.

"ps... freak "

yea, i'm a freak.

spock 03-13-11 09:17 AM

Great :( I'm heading out west tonight.

Winter can go away and die.

I live in Vermont, and I'll be happy when the snow melts and the skibags are gone and I can find a restaurant to eat in at peace. The flatlanders also drive like ****** muffins, so their absence will make my road riding less stressfull.

billyymc 03-13-11 04:53 PM

Absolutely! It's hard to put away the skis, but getting the bikes out softens the blow a bit.

HigherGround 03-13-11 07:24 PM

The only purpose of winter is to make me appreciate spring that much more.

Chris L 03-13-11 09:41 PM

I've heard about this "winter" thing before, but I can't recall seeing one in the last 16 years or so. Can someone please remind me of what the concept is supposed to mean?

wabbit 03-13-11 10:01 PM

winter does have its good side, like sleeping better, the nice dark mornings, less noise, hockey! But I'm sick of dry skin, winter itch, shoveling snow and having to freeze when I get my mail, take out the garbage etc.

GP 03-13-11 10:09 PM

I love winter. Hate summer.

Kuotient 03-13-11 10:50 PM

Winter left a few weeks ago for me =]

nekohime 03-13-11 11:34 PM

Yeah, because as California Spring/Summer rolls around it will be way too hot for me. I'm going to try to get adopted by someone living in the Southern Hemisphere again...:D

This is the sweet time now. Low humidity, 50's at night and 70's during the day. The blast furnace starts in about a month or so.
