Name suggestions for a new pet

Foo has never failed me for questions about all sorts of random things so here goes.

I just bought a horse, a thoroughbred filly, and would like to come up with a name to show her under. Her JC registration papers will retain the original name, but it's not one that I like all that much, so I want to show under something else. My equine friends have come up with some suggestions, but they are already too common on the show scene.

I'd like to get some unbiased Fooster opinions or at least a few serious ones before the thread gets perved.

no, I'm not going to name her after an alcoholic beverage. I had a bad experience with a horse named "Jack Daniels" so I won't go there again

top photo: as a just turned 5 year old
bottom photo: racing as a youngster, ~3.5 years old.

She retired sound, with clean radiographs and will be starting a new life doing a mix of jumping and dressage.

What a beautiful horse. Not familiar with conventions for naming horses. I like to use color to name animals...Amber came to mind when I looked at her.

Give it a few weeks, the right name will come to you when you get to know her better.

Since this is a cycling forum, Willa Deane, after Fred Birchmore's wife.

Fred named his bike after a horse, Bucephalus.

She looks like her previous life was demanding, but full of humility, wisdom, and unconditional love. She needs a name that's uplifting, elegant, and smooth. Something like Mona Rey.

After looking at the pictures for a few, the name "Rita" came to mind.

I like her coloring. I know you said no alcohol, but I thought Kahlua might be fitting. Also, for some reason, she reminds of a peanut butter cup.

I thought about Snicklefritz, except it means mischievous kid. I'm trying to pick a showname that's along the lines of what spock said: elegant and smooth...she will be partly judged on those kinds of characteristics under saddle.

My sister seemsd to pick something from the horses registered name.

Her Arabian was registered with something like Sheza Marbled Kahn.

Marby was her ring name.

Or you can check out horses from various books, like Lord of the Rings.

Do NOT name it Shadowmane.
