There is nothing wrong with Parks and Gardens/Recreation. I am pullling more money now than when I worked indoors. I get out in the fresh air most of the time, and I have a really good view of how much like pigs some people are (well, actually, that's insulting pigs). There's also lots of mowing, gardening and tree work to break up the crappy side of things.

It's not long-long term for me, Enough for us to save for a 12-month world cycling trip in the not-too-distant future. Becoming a bicycle mechanic might convince me to return to indoors work, but the money might not.
    Dream. Dare. Do.

Bike job. It's been tough trying to figure out how things work but I've built a few bikes and I'm really getting the hang of it. It's fun.

Wow, the wedding gift was more appropriate than anyone could have guessed. Awesome!

If you're anything like me you take the job seriously and study on your own time. There's a lot of technical info out there to wrap your head around. If you want some resources, I have several in pdf form. PM me your email addy and I'll send them.
