We adopted a 12 month old German Shepard dog, female, in May. She is very smart, and well behaved. Crate training went quickly, and she goes in willingly now. We are currently camping in northern ontario, and she's loving every minute of it.

We are doing puppy classes, and will probably move on to the intermediate class as well. GSD's are working dogs, so they need to be doing something to keep them happy.

Enjoy, Daren

Awww - puppies & babies will get me going every time. Enjoy losing a fair share of your favourite possessions!!! Like kids - if you can't hear them/see them, assume they are up to no good.

Whats with the PINK coller he'll be emotionally scared for life, you have to get him a new collar, A.S.A.P. Something macho like camo or with big 4x4 trucks on it. Cute mutt . Train him from the get go the the bed and rest of the furniture is No Dogs Allowed land, or one night when he's older you find yourself sleeping in his bed for the room.

We have a shepherd/hound mix that's a year older. He sleeps in his crate no problem, but whenever we've left him in the crate while leaving the house, he figured out early on how to muscle his way out of the crate. So.... he's outdoors when we're not home. He has the same look in his eyes that your puppy has; you may have a Houdini on your hands!

I miss having a dog. He's a cutie now... and someday, he will be a big German Shepherd.

We know who'd win that contest. I'd never seen a grown dog go backwards that fast until my kitten racked his nose with his claws.

Our cat tried that to no avail. The cat even got a claw stuck in his eyelid once, and his nose another time. Didn't faze him at all.

He's kind of outgrown it now, but when he was still a puppy he would catch the cat, hold it down, and give it a tongue bath.

Every new dog to come in our house would invariably end up with a claw in their nose and cease bothering the cat

That would have been one pi**3d cat having been given a bath by a dog!
