Hopefully celebs on the edge (Hello Ms. Lohan) can learn from this unfortunate and unsurprising occurrence.

Always liked Ms. Winehouse. Great voice. Sorry that she couldn't keep her life together. She was one of the few singers I'd wanted to see in person.

Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendricks, Jim Morrison, Kurt Cobain, Amy Winehhouse all died at age 27, all of drug related deaths. Sad indeed.

She is a blues singer and not an auto-tuned bubblegum pop tart. She had a great voice and I liked the way she interpreted songs. It's a shame. She tried to clean herself up a year or so ago, I guess it didn't last.

I think i read on someone's facebook post something along the lines of "On a scale of one to Amy Winehouse, how drunk were you?"

X, I said the same thing. I decided to stop judging last night when I heard and gave her music a listen...." Love is a losing game" has been playing over and over on my CPU. I'm floored at what I heard, and she has unfortunately embodied the phrase " The saddest thing in life is wasted talent". I'm actually sorry I didnt get into her music sooner.

It's easy to overlook true talent today.

I'd much prefer to listen to an artist before seeing them. How many of today's artists would succeed on their vocal talents alone?

The news showed a pix of her from 2004. Pretty girl, just a few years later she was a nasty wreck. Amazing how fast the drugs can ruin you.
