Ask the Stoned Guy thread - often imitated, never duplicated. August 2011 edition

As Jsharr eluded to earlier, my on-going battle to keep skin cancer at bay has once again landed me on the dermatologist's table, and once again I'm home and starting to feel the effects of the Vicodin.

However, my loss (in skin) is your gain. Because you now have a but once in a year opportunity to query the mind of a BikeForums admin while under the influence of mind-altering drugs.

No question to strange, no question too simple, no question too stupid. However I can't promise the same for the answers.

Watching lots of Top Gear (UK), staying hopped up on pain killers, and generally avoiding anything that involves bending at the waist, twisting the back or moving the lower torso in general.

Thus I will not be riding my bike, competing in a hula-hoop contest, doing "The Twist", digging a ditch, edging the yard, yoga... or curling into a ball and rolling down a hill.

The Cardinal bike shop off-campus had a "vintage" Santana Touring Tandem with dual rear brakes. Do you think I could drift it?

Bring a video camera, and always remember to say "Hey y'all, watch this!" before making any such attempt. Then try to do a stoppie.

I also wouldn't mind knowing how vintage it was... it did look a little old, but was in great shape.

Thankfully I've been 11 years cancer free. Since then I just figured I'd let the doc's practice their scalpel and suturing skills a few times a year on my dime to ensure I stay that way. Then again, a nice long soak in a tub filled with a cannabis lotion would be an interesting experience.

Good to hear. Did you even need the vicodin?

Would you let Siu practice her knife/scalpel skills on you?

K, Question: If a Guy is SINGLE, lives ALONE and does his own laundry at home... how come he still turns up with some socks missing EVERY SINGLE TIME?

Because your dryer is a portal to a parallel universe where they keep coming up with extra socks. The Swedish proved this a few years back and kept the results secret.

OP: how do you feel about using cannabis as a pain killer and have you considered newer studies published by harvard med and ucla about Delta 9-Tetrahydrocannabinol killing carcinogenic cells and even shrinking tumors? I have been told vicodin is both fun but harmful to you.

So far I'm feelin no pain, but experience tells me its a comin. I'd rather take a vicodin every 4hrs than high-dose Tylenol. The first morning after is always the suckiest. But in general, your window to ask a stoned mod questions is fairly short.

I only tell people I get into knife fights when they see all the scars. Though it's getting hard to explain all the ones around my knees. Midgets perhaps? But Siu isn't a midget. At least I don't think she is.

Did you look behind / between the laundry. That's where most of mine end up. That or Dr. Who stole them.

Those damned Swedes. They get the blondes AND they don't tell us about the portal in Ruben's dryer, screw invading the Middle East, I say we take over Sweeden. But I suggest we do it in the summer. Like the Finns, fighting the Swedes in the winter is askin for ruin.

It means two rival lepercahans are in the area. You'd best stay away, one is fiesty enough, two is just askin for trouble.

Having lost good friends and family to cancer, and having dealt with it myself, F@CK Cancer. If Delta-whats-ever nukes it, nuke it. As var as V-meds, it makes me not care that I can't ride my bike for 2-3 weeks, or that I had to spend as much as a new set of wheels to get a chunk of skin cut out of me today.

Me. At least I'm the only one who's on perscript pain meds atm as far as I can tell. The rest of these dudes are just Foosteres. The difference can sometimes be hard to determine.
