(I say that as I toss my Gi into my bag, but my coach is going to kill me.)

Ouch. I've broken two smaller toes and reset them myself. My sister broke her little toe and her doctor told her there wasn't much he could do except tape it up, so I didn't bother going to the doctor.

Just finished reading the 200 page Reason Decision summary against Armstrong. Yeah, it's been a really boring morning.

I read it in 15 seconds. I am speed reader and a doper. I shoot steroids into my optic nerves.

Popping in to say hi. Headed to bed shortly - half day of work tomorrow (6:30a-10:30a) then home to do some more kid-proofing....I'm going to have my grandkids for teh weekend...

I think the faucet on my shower just lost its seal, it has a not-so-healthy drip

Now is probably a good time to replace the tile and shower pan too. Anyone have thoughts on pan+tile vs. one of those stall kits? I probably need a plumber (with insurance) to do this.

Tile for sure. My current shower is one of those plastic kits, and it's just cheap. Tile is worth the extra upkeep of having to seal the grout every couple of years and whatnot. They did it because it's a cookie cutter townhouse where they cut corners wherever possible. Tiling is actually pretty easy, it can just be a little tedious... but if you're not confident in your skills, by all means get someone to do it... It'd stink to get it done just to get a leak and find out you didn't put in the right underlayment or something. For the head, try some plumber's tape around the threads of the base of it.

Thanks. I could pull the head and re-tape, but I think it's the on/off lever itself because it continues to drip.

Skills I can handle and I think my dad has a saw for tile. My concerns are HOA rules, risk to the unit below me, and insufficient free time to do everything (unless I burned some vacation days... not a bad idea). Ideally, I would have a plumber replace the faucet and then I can re-tile at my leisure (thank you 2nd bathroom). The downside to this is the 2nd bathroom is where I do my bike maintenance

I feel like edward norton in fight club when he asked his doctor if he could die from insomnia. I'm not exactly suffering from insomnia, but my lack of sleep lately is irritating to say the least. Since I got back from quiet, serene michigan, my townhome assn began performing 100% pointless repairs which require a large cement saw and backhoe every morning at 6. This on top of the landscapers which start at 7 2 days a week, and my neighbor's suddenly obnoxious kids. God I need to move to the country. Even if I had a normal sleep schedule here, the truckers passing by the major roadway right here love pointlessly working through all their gears when it's not crowded. And don't get me started on the idiots with ridiculous exhaust. Ugh. Rant over.

I've been out of town and haven't been able to contact my wife for a week so I was a little POed when I got home. It seems she spent the entire week cleaning the house, straightening up the garage and finishing a bathroom remodel while I was enjoying nice meals and boat tours. I'll let her slide this time.

Just got back from dinner with the wife and kid. I was riding in the backseat...wife and kid told me some lady was checking me out at the stoplight. Next light I checked her out...she was pretty damned cute.

Finishing up the washing/drying of clothing, watching some Alaska State Troopers, and fixin' to go to bed. Tomorrow, I use some community service leave to help some elderly people get around at the fairgrounds (NC State Fair). Also picking this up tomorrow afternoon (I've had the frame/fork for a while and finally getting it built up)....

Me neither. Except coffee, water, and a cream cheese muffin a co-worker made. Hoping I get the call about the other job soon.
