Had a wonderful day at the warehouse today for two reasons. Just by wearing my hand painted jacket, I sold two of them. One order is placed and the other will be just as soon as I bring in pics of the characters. I also got done a lot more than was expected of me. Yay!!

How many jackets do you wear? What was expected of you?

Hah!

Yeah, I face the same burden since I'm an honest person: getting other folks to give me their stuff legally. I just wish it was a 26" so I could ride it when it's done.

Just replaced the batteries in my 6 year old Norelco shaver. They really did not design the shaver with battery replacement in mind. The things are welded in place rather than soldered. What a pain in the butt. Regardless, two tabbed 1800 mAH AA NiMH for $10 (including shipping) and my shaver is like new. Then again, I suppose if they made the batteries easy to replace, they couldn't make money from selling shavers. I hate how they plan obsolescence into otherwise perfectly usable items.

I just did a good deed.

One rider here managed to kill the rear wheel of his Reynolds carbon clinchers (rim blow out due to braking heat). He discovered how expensive a replacement was (and how long it would take), so he emailed around and offered the wheelset as is for free since he is about to move out of Hong Kong.

I grabbed them since I figured the DTSwiss 240 hubs alone would be worth the effort.

Upon taking them to the LBS, the mechanic said that there was another rider who had just killed a front rim...

Now I have a set of good hubs and the other rider has a whole new front wheel - both for free! Just love spreading the love and connecting the dots...

Listening to a long queue of The Cars on Spotify. If you have not tried Spotify, I highly reccomend it. It is most excellent.

She got wonderful eyes, and a risque mouth and when I asked her before she says she's holding it out.

Will be an odd set of beater wheels - 20h front and 24h rear! Might see if I can get some Kinlin 300 rims and build up a set of top training wheels.

Bwahahahahahaha, I just reported a spammer to the FCC who sent a text to my mobile phone. He's going to get a $10K fine for that.

Yes, that is the highlight of my evening so far. Yes, I am a geek engineer.

I've been offered the build for free by the LBS for connecting the other guy up with a free wheel, so all I need now is the rims.

There was a group buy on somewhere - will search that out...

Important information about your <insert_establishment_here> account.

Imagine my surprise, when it actually was. Still it was a "broadcast" style message, not specifically about my account.

They'll get a much better hit rate with a specific subject title.

80 year old Father In Law broke a hip Thursday, had surgery today. Had surgery today.

Me, I'm doing great, sitting with him in his room, as he sleeps, pecking away on my laptop.

Rainy day, anyway,
Nothing to do,
Nothing to play.

Sitting with my laptop,
Typing on Foo,
Checking out the nurses,
Woo Hoo Hoo!

Recovering from a power trail walk with the hounds...4+hours. Picked up some Chicken Shawarma on the way home. Had a a couple of IBUs as hors d'oeuvre.

Dear knees,
I am so sorry. Can you ever forgive me?
Sincerely,

Working my second straight day of holiday shift -- 26 hours in two days, 9am to 10pm each day. Then off for two days, then it's time for the Inaugural Grand October North American Continental Family and Friends Nuptial Tour Of Heroes Extravaganza Wedding Holiday Trip Circuit. And then I will be very tired.

Currently sitting in my kitchen fretting over the light switch that was popping and smoking an hour ago. Breaker is turned off, but I'm still too nervous to go to sleep. Ugh! It's going to be a long night.
