Just finished eating a quesadilla I made, and I've come to the conclusion that I went a little overboard with the jalapeņos.

The bike shop near me was having a pretty major sale a while back, so I ordered a Burley Flatbed trailer for about $70 off, and just got it yesterday. My biggest concern is the lack of fenders, and how I'm going to make my own.

...And Saint Attila raised the hand grenade up on high, saying, "O LORD, bless this Thy hand grenade that with it Thou mayest blow Thine enemies to tiny bits, in Thy mercy." And the LORD did grin and the people did feast upon the lambs and sloths and carp and anchovies and orangutans and breakfast cereals, and fruit bats and large chu... [At this point, the friar is urged by Brother Maynard to "skip a bit, brother"]... And the LORD spake, saying, "First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin, then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who being naughty in My sight, shall snuff it."

Reached a milestone this week. Since I started keeping track of the distance I biked in January 2007, I have biked just over 30,000 km.

I've had too many zombie days since I started night school. I should have listened to my mom and done grad school one class at a time. This crap is really cutting into my riding time.

Told you should have gone with the Esteban Camaro. It puts the "badass" back in acoustical guitar, plus you would look good with a mullet, which it turns out is a purchase requirement if you read the fine print on the contract.

I think I am going to be the only person at work dressed up for Halloween today. This company used to have Halloween parties and costume contests in the past, but they just stopped doing them over the years. I'm determined to start them up again.

I'd been getting well, slowly, for a long time.

last week I felt better, and did a good resistance workout on Wed, a hike on Thurs,
and the first snow shovelling of the year Sat. I've spent most of the last couple days sleeping;
recovering from it all.

Still sore, but it's nice to feel like me again.

Thanks . I think it doesn't help that I'm in the middle of a stressful 12-day work week, which is having the effect of combining and magnifying a bunch of other issues. Had a decent night's sleep last night, so we'll see how today goes.

Ha! Actually, the guitar is one thing that has most certainly NOT gone wrong. Every time I play it, I'm astounded by how beautiful it is.

Yay! I got some trick-or-treaters tonight. Little, tiny kids who's parents will eat the M&Ms I handed out.

Was feeling pretty burned out and low today until two truly terrifying creatures arrived atmy house and we went trick or treating around the neighbourhood and then went for hot chocolate, hugs, and a visit to the pet store to play with the baby birds.

Have gotten to know the staff and the birds and they let me take them out whenever I stop by... figure it keeps the little guys well socialized and sane and is good for me too.

The girls thought "Brock" was awesome... he is a baby cinnamon Conure that seems to have attached himself to me and I suggested the tough sounding name since he is such a sweet and gentle little creature.

You should get the mullet anyway. Bad days are scared of dudes with mullets.
