Went to a class on recognizing workplace drug use. They showed us slides of methamphetamine user's teeth and skin. Holy smokes, it was nasty.

Maybe it's the Pabst talking, but Lana Del Ray's "National Anthem" is on Pandora and not bad....

I've been thinking about getting into meth lately. Could use the energy.

But seriously, I've seen a ton of documentaries on the stuff, and yea, that stuff is the devil.

She's sultry as hell and drives an old Benz, so I'm pretty much in love with her. Really not bad music either, especially when compared to most modern stuff.

It's friday, I'm the only one from my dept. that came into the office.
I'm having to rerun some reports since some markets were missing when I ran them on Tuesay. I have to figure out how to re-index my main table since a query that used to take about 20 minutes took 21 and a half hours to run yesterday (and this morning). I have a backlog of requests due to that one sql running so long and I'm short on coffee and generally a bit irritable.

Morning Foo.

Psyched it's Friday. First payday at the new job, though it'll be a tiny one since it's just for training, but I'm still happy. Next paycheck I'll finally be able to do some repairs on my car that are sorely needed.

Congrats on the gig, the paycheck and the car repairs. Save enough for a celebratory beer!

Thrown out of the building at 2:30 on Friday due to a gas leak next door. Boss took about 30 seconds to decide to send us all home, so we were all long gone by the time HR gave the all-clear by 4.

So I am back today and on the lappy because the desktop is too busy updating itself.

Are they complaining because the fish didn't bite?

One captain doesn't like sardines. He only wants anchovies. The bait company can only fish a 30-mile radius because they need to keep the bait live so they take whatever they can get, which is dependent on water temperature.

5 hours left at work and I'm ready to pass out. Should be a very boring day, seeing as popcorn isn't exactly attractive in 100 degree heat. Thinking about having a slushee

My get up and go has got up and went. I need a job working for The Boy Scouts of America. That is where my passion lies.

I would imagine the AT has some sort of trail wardens, rangers, etc. I think you could do that.

I've looked into workend for the dept of forestry and whatnot... some fairly strict requirements. I believe they are requiring a bachelor's in an applicable field for all rangers.

Trying to do 3 days worth of reports in one day.....playing catch up due to special projects that have been foisted upon the dept. The upper management seems to think 3 people can do what 15 consultants did along with our regular responsibilities too. I'm good....but this is a bit much.

To the woman in the brand new white Chevy Volt who almost ran me off the road today: I can't see your turn signal if your car is directly beside mine, which makes me unaware that you want to merge into my lane. That means you should slow down and wait for another car to let you over instead of swerving into the lane right beside me while laying on your horn.
