Chillaxin' after a busy and excitement filled day...

This morning the wife and I were pootlin' down to Canada Place so she could get her social insurance number and as we passed a homeless shelter I saw a bicycle I had sold to my friend a few months back leaned up against the building.

My wife waited half a block up while I went and retrieved it, no-one gave me much hassle and that might have had something to do with everyone knowing it was jacked and that I had my bad face on... and a u-lock in my hand. My friend was pretty happy when I reached him and said I had his bike and he came and picked it up... the f'rs that stole it had removed about $250.00 worth of parts but it was otherwise sound.

After that we got the SIN number and had my wife added to my health care which is immediate in Alberta for immigrants and she does have permanent resident status with no restrictions so she can do everything except vote.

After that we had coffee downtown, picked up the girls, and BBQ'd steaks on the grill.

It must be close to bedtime...

Another boring day at work. Here until 4, then I'll go home to relax for an hour, then back out until 10 for my last class of the week.

Freaks are attracted to me. Stopped at a Starbucks for a break and the guy next to me, Sean the writer, is giving me his life story. All he wants is a girlfriend. A cool girlfriend, not one of those desperate ones. In Sean's mind, she's naked. Like a mermaid. And foreign, that's why Sean needs $200 to get a passport. So he can get away from the police who are always following him. They call him a terrorist. The guy in the kilt seems kinda normal compared to Sean.

Was Sean wearing an aluminum foil hat on his head?

I spent the day getting recertified for CPR and first aid. If anyone is ever choking or suffering from arterial bleeding, I'll know what to do.

Digesting some blueberry pancakes and coffee, watching a little tele, and thinking about working on the mtb. It's been lonely for too long...and I feel the need for speed over dirt.

Oh ****. I'm sitting at my brother in law's desk talking to my sister and I looked at the calendar. The naked woman on the calendar is my sister sitting with her legs spread on the bow of their boat.

I need to find some bleach and an ice pick.

My nose looks like Rudolph's and I feel like I've been kicked by the other seven.:-( Picked up a nasty head cold and am not a happy camper. I also went tramping (hiking) on Sunday. Taking 12kg of 18month old on my back with me when I hadn't been out walking for about six months may not have been the brightest move either.

I tried to keep it on the up and up. I really tried. Realized I was doing harm to myself being there. Imagined having to explain that to my sons. I left.
